The Soul Brothers was started by Mel and Mo shortly after they met in 1998. While every other position has changed many times, they've stuck together through the good and the bad and the merely tasteless.
Their stated goal was to create a powerful soul and blues band with superior musicianship all around, with opportunities for individuals as well as the group itself to show talent, while keeping the audience entertained at all times. After reaching world domination in early 2001, someone handed Mel a copy of "Lombardi, the Man, the Myth, the Legend to Bow Down and Pray to", and together they discovered that the only life worth living is a private, humble life, full of daily meditation and painful scourging.
